Clear information before booking

Policies, privacy and payments.

These terms explain how classes and alterations are coordinated, how submitted information is handled and what happens when a booking needs to change.

Last updated: August 26, 2026.

1. Bookings and confirmation

A request sent through the form or WhatsApp is not confirmed until the system displays a confirmation or Costura NY Studio expressly confirms it. In-person classes may last one or two hours within the chosen block and allow up to 10 students per session.

The same instructor serves the Bronx and Brooklyn. Classes are never scheduled simultaneously, and the calendar must keep at least one free hour when travel between both studios is required.

2. Cancellations and rescheduling

  • Rescheduling is free with at least 24 hours' notice.
  • With less than 24 hours, changes depend on availability.
  • When a booking is canceled through the system, its seat becomes available again. To change dates, cancel first and submit a new booking.
  • Costura NY Studio may propose a different time because of safety, transportation, weather, studio access or force majeure.

3. Payments and refunds

Classes may be paid when booking or at the studio, according to the selected arrangement. A standard one-hour virtual class costs $45. Advanced projects and alterations are quoted after reviewing their requirements.

PayPal processes online payments. Costura NY Studio does not receive or store your complete card or bank account number.

Refund requests are reviewed according to the reserved service, notice provided, work already performed and the terms communicated before payment. When payment was made through PayPal, an approved refund will be returned through the same method whenever possible.

4. Alteration estimates

Photos sent through WhatsApp allow us to provide initial guidance. Price, scope and turnaround are confirmed after evaluating the garment, its construction, materials and required fit. Work does not begin until these details are confirmed.

5. Information we collect

We may receive your name, phone number, email, language, sewing level, project, location, preferred date and time, booking notes and photos you choose to send. Basic technical information may also be collected through analytics tools, including visited pages, device type and general visit source.

We also use an internal counter for page views by page, date, hour of day and approximate country. To show recent activity, the site assigns a random anonymous identifier to the browser for 30 days; it is not linked to forms or bookings. This counter does not store names, phone numbers, email addresses or IP addresses. Its results are visible only inside the teacher's private dashboard.

We do not sell personal information. We use it to respond, reserve, provide services, prevent duplicate bookings, maintain administrative records and improve the site experience.

6. WhatsApp, PayPal and external services

When you choose WhatsApp, PayPal, Google Maps or another external service, that platform's policies also apply. Share only the information needed. Garment or project photos will not be published for promotion without permission.

7. Students under 18

A class for a minor must be booked or approved by a parent or responsible guardian. Avoid sending sensitive information that is not needed to coordinate the class.

8. Retention and security

Information is kept for the time reasonably needed to fulfill the booking, resolve changes or claims, and meet administrative obligations. We use reasonable safeguards, although no internet-connected system can guarantee absolute security.

9. Questions about these policies

To ask about, correct or request deletion of booking information, contact us on WhatsApp or call 631-860-6864. Certain records may be retained when required for legal, accounting or dispute-resolution purposes.
